All online gifts are unrestricted. The board reviews program need quarterly and, in its sole discretion, directs each gift to the program with the greatest current need. This may include any combination of pro bono physical therapy, pediatric therapy, education, scholarships, or future programs the board approves. If you wish to make a restricted gift to a specific program, contact us in writing at donate@flexionfoundation.org before giving and we will confirm whether and how that restriction can be honored under IRS rules.
Yes. Flexion Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 33-3252902). You will receive a written acknowledgment for your records that meets IRS §170(f)(8) substantiation requirements.
To the program the Foundation determines has the greatest current need at the time of allocation. The board reviews allocation quarterly. For a detailed breakdown of where prior gifts were directed, email donate@flexionfoundation.org.
Donor dollars go to programs. General operating costs are covered separately by board-funded reserves and in-kind support from affiliated clinicians, so donor gifts are not diverted to overhead. The board reviews allocation annually and publishes the breakdown in our year-end summary.
Yes. You can set up a one-time or monthly recurring gift. Monthly gifts can be paused, changed, or canceled at any time, no questions asked.
Your donation receipt includes a link to manage your recurring gift. From there you can update the amount, change your card, pause, or cancel. If you have lost the receipt, email donate@flexionfoundation.org and we will resend it within one business day.
Most likely yes. Flexion Foundation qualifies under standard 501(c)(3) employer matching programs (Benevity, YourCause, and direct corporate programs recognize us). Ask your HR or community-engagement team for the matching form and use EIN 33-3252902 when they request it.
Yes. On the giving form or in your email, name the person being honored or remembered. We can send a printed acknowledgment card to an address you provide, and the gift amount is not disclosed unless you ask us to include it.
Yes. Indicate that you would like your gift to remain anonymous and your name will not appear in any public recognition. You still receive the tax receipt in your email for your records.
No. We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information to any third party. The only other organization that sees your contact data is the payment processor that collects the gift, which is bound by PCI-DSS and their own privacy obligations.
Email donate@flexionfoundation.org with the approximate date and amount and we will resend your receipt within one business day. Receipts meet IRS substantiation standards and do not expire.
Email donate@flexionfoundation.org with a brief description of what you would like to donate and your general location. We will coordinate pickup or shipping details. Equipment gifts over $500 are reported on IRS Form 8283, and gifts over $5,000 require a qualified appraisal.

Yes, for gifts of $500 or more through a partner platform. Email donate@flexionfoundation.org with the amount and token and we will send giving instructions. Crypto gifts receive the same tax treatment as non-cash gifts, including Form 8283 for gifts over $500.
Yes. International donors can give online using a credit or debit card. We issue a standard US receipt with our 501(c)(3) status. Whether the gift is deductible in your home country depends on your local tax authority's rules.
Yes. IRS Form 990, our determination letter, and the current board roster are available on request. Email donate@flexionfoundation.org with "990 request" in the subject line.
